SEAT DOWN, APC PRESIDENT NASSON MSONI TELLS PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA
By New Dawn Reporter
ALL Peoples Congress (APC) leader Nasson Msoni has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to seat down and address challenged Zambians are facing rather than spending huge sums of funds on international trips.

Msoni, who is a member of the UPND-Alliance, is of the view that the trips President Hichilema is making are not beneficial to the nation.
He said the challenges the country is facing are not abroad but at home.

“International travels are undoubtedly taking away resources from the poor and nothing can justify for these frequent international trips. It is prudent to counsel President HH that the challenge of a Head of State is not abroad but at home dealing with domestic issues. The Country is beset with so many challenges requiring the immediate attention of the Head of State,” he said.
He said President Hichilema should relaise that the economy is doing badly.

Msoni said so far President Hichilema cannot point at any successful story he has scored in the many foreign trips made, saying the Head of State cannot even justify his trips.

“… and in a nutshell we can’t continue to bankroll regular international travels for purposes of signing Memorandum of understandings (MOU). It is prudent to urge government to make use of our foreign missions in those respective countries for this purpose. No abstract figures or assertions can justify for such expenses and regular travels by the Head of State,” said Msoni.
