A 22-year-old taxi driver of Serenje is nursing wounds after being battered by his 20-year-old wife for going home late.
Darlington Bwalya is believed to have upset his wife Violet Ngandwe who assaulted him with an empty beer bottle for going home late.
Mr Bwalya sustained a deep cut on his back and left hand due to the assault.
Central Province police commissioner David Chileshe said police have since launched investigations into the matter and have launched a manhunt to arrest Mr Bwalya’s wife.
He said police have recorded a case of Gender Based Violence ( GBV) and unlawful wounding.
“Brief facts were that the victim went home late after knocking off from work. When he reached home the wife asked him as to where he had been of which she got upset and a quarrel ensued,” he said.
Mr Chileshe said the wife then took the empty beer bottle and assaulted the husband.
