SIMPLE ANALYSIS: THE NUMBERS TELL THE STORY
UPND has won five out of the ten Provinces:
1. Lusaka
2. Southern
3. Western
4. Northwestern
5. Central
NRPUP has also won five Provinces:
1. Copperbelt
2. Luapula
3. Northern
4. Muchinga
5. Eastern
But the real story is in the pattern.
In the five provinces won by UPND, NRPUP did not win a single seat in Southern or Western. By contrast, in every province won by NRPUP, UPND still managed to pick up seats, on average, about three per province.
There is another important distinction: UPND’s victories in its strongholds came with significantly wider margins, while NRPUP’s victories in its strongholds were generally achieved by much narrower margins.
The voting patterns also reveal a clear demographic divide. UPND appeared to have stronger appeal among the more educated and student populations, while NRPUP resonated more strongly with economically disadvantaged and less formally educated communities.
You don’t need complicated mathematics to understand this
Without even putting the figures on the table, the pattern itself settles the debate.
This is no rocket science. It is plain electoral reality. We can now wait for ECZ official results in peace.

Next is to compare UPND figures for 2026 with those in 2021 from the 5 provinces won by opposition. Have we improved or gone down? If improved, we can only improve again in 2031. And i dont see opposition improving anything in 2031 in UPND strongholds. Target is to block PF from ever rising to power again.
Infighting/jostling for plot 1 killed PF. The problem with the opposition is that, they are NOT united
Indeed, the PF demons must never, ever be allowed to even come close to the corridors of power again in this beautiful country.
After this, can we see more development talk, rather than campaign talk, like we have experienced in the last 5years.More constructive criticism and less political mileage criticism.
PF was an unmitigated disaster for our country.
The sooner it is laid to rest, in whatever form it manifests itself, the better so we can get on with the more important task of developing our country. They are such a distraction. So divisive, such liers, hypocrites.
The problem with PF chaps is that everyone sees himself or herself presidential material. I am happy we are coming to a close of the election season. What is however important is that the PF in all different political outfits have been rejected outright. It is now time to develop our country in peace. I mean we want to enjoy our mother land. Those chaps with pangas will be dealt with ruthlessly.
