SOME OF YOUR FOOT SOLDIERS CHEAT YOU, BISHOP MSIPU TELLS HH
Newly ordained Roman Catholic Bishop for Chipata Diocese, Monsignor Gabriel Msipu, says some people surrounding President Hakainde Hichilema lie to him that things on the ground are well when the opposite is the case.
Speaking after his Ordination Mass at St Anne’s Cathedral on Saturday attended by Hichilema and monitored by Byta FM Zambia , Msipu stated that some of the President’s foot soldiers do not tell him the truth.
He advised Hichilema to engage religious leaders on various issues of governance as they all serve the same people, stating that the President should not be too quick to judge and think that the church is opposing or de-campaigning the government in power.
Msipu noted that both the Church and State have a huge responsibility in ensuring that people have a better standard of living, adding that he is looking forward to sitting down with the President to discuss various challenges the country is facing.
