Press statement for immediate release by Hon. Elisha Matambo, UPND Copperbelt Chairman.

STOP MESSING UP WITH OUR PRESIDENT
The tribal crusade being carried out by some bitter, envious and trounced politicians to try to stimulate ethnic emotions is embarrassing to themselves. It is stripping them of whatever little respect some few people may have had for them. It is well beyond the pale, way primitive and shameful.
President Hakainde Hichilema won a landslide victory on the platform of uniting the 72 tribes of our Nation and on the promises of equitably distributing national wealth and power to all Zambians, regardless of regional or ethnic background. Zambians were united to kick out the PF specifically because of tribalism, how do they now think they will get sympathy from the people who showed them the door because of the same vice they are now promoting?
When they were stealing public resources, they were doing so on behalf of themselves and their multiple concubines and not on behalf of our innocent citizens of their tribes. Let them therefore stop the mischief and begin to complain on behalf of their girlfriends who they brazenly stole for, and not on behalf of their tribes.
Stealing is not tribalism, it is stealing, and when you steal you do not do so as a representative of your tribe, you do so as a thief, a kelenka, period!
Let them allow the courts of law to clear them if they are clean. Instead of shouting ‘tribalism’ on the mountain tops, let them shout ‘thief’. The people of Zambia have given President Hakainde Hichilema a mandate of five years to work and deliver, so therefore these thieves must wait and hopefully improve their tally to 0.0% in the next election
