Winning back the Copperbelt requires more than political rhetoric. An overhaul of UPND party leadership is long overdue.
You cannot threaten people into loyalty or intimidate voters into changing their minds. Politics is about understanding people, not commanding them.
Demographics evolve. The electorate changes, priorities shift, and new generations emerge with different expectations. A party that fails to study these changes will eventually lose touch with the very people it seeks to represent.
The solution is simple: renew the leadership, reconnect with the grassroots, listen to the people and adapt to the changing political landscape.
The real question is not whether the Copperbelt can be won back. It is whether those entrusted with that responsibility are willing to change their approach.
You cannot solve tomorrow’s political challenges with yesterday’s leadership methods.
