Girls who are not virgins should not be paid for, court rules
THE Matero Local Court in the greater city of Lusaka with a hard working commandant has ruled that parents of girls with high mileage should not, at any point in their lives, demand ‘damage’ from men who impregnate their second hand daughters.

This is in a case in which a 30 year old Congolese man called Patrick Kalube of Six Miles sued his baby Mama’s mother for overcharging him for damaging her daughter Oprah Chipenge, a girl, born just yesterday, in the year the world was celebrating the election of Barrack Obama as US President, 2009.

Patrick complained that it was unfair for Mercy Nchimunya, 40, Oprah’s mother, to charge him K35,000 in damages for a damaged good that had already been opened and used by another man.

Mercy, however, could not believe that Patrick was not the one who harvested the first fruits of her daughter as she maintained that for the press ups the Congolese did on her teenage daughter, he needed to complete paying the K35,000 of which he had only managed to pay a K10,000.

To cut the arguments in court, Magistrate Harriet Mulenga summoned the teenager and asked if Patrick was the one who made her as slippery as Okra and enjoyed her at zero mileage.
However, Oprah shocked her mother and the gallery when she revealed that she started taking her biology lessons in reproduction personally before she met Patrick and if she were a car she would be the kind with 200,000 km on the odometer.

She confessed that a man called Innocent Chiweri was the first to have tutored her in a practical biology lesson on reproduction.

After opening her legs as wide as the Pacific Ocean for Innocent, she met Patrick who then succeeded in booking her an appointment with a midwife after falling pregnant for him.
Appearing as sheepish as a false Pentecostal prophet, the mother of the former maiden suddenly lost her speech the way Given Lubinda suddenly went quiet prior to the August 13 general election.

In her ruling, Magistrate Mulenga ordered Oprah’s parents to pay back the K10,000 they had received from the man as damage because he was not the one who had deflowered their daughter.

The court further noted that the mother should not take advantage of Patrick simply because he was a countrymate of Fally Ipupa and was oblivious to Zambian culture.

“Pregnancy is not damage. In this case, the defendant’s daughter was not damaged because she had already slept with someone else before Patrick. It would only be damage if she was a virgin when she slept with Patrick.”

“I therefore order that the parents of the girl refund the man the K10,000 he paid in damages, as he was not supposed to pay anything in the first place. He doesn’t owe you anything and you parents with daughters who sleep with men should not demand damage,” said Magistrate Mulenga.

The court further advised the mother to work hand in hand with the daughter in tracing Innocent who is not so innocent in this case and demand for damage instead.
