THIS IS WHAT YOUR GOVERNMENT DID IN FEBRUARY 2022
1. Raised K11.1 billion in Revenues
2. Released K11.1 billion expenditure as follows

– K105.9 million to Public universities and schools, countrywide
– K67 million to Hospitals
– K650 million for procurement of drugs and medical supplies in public health institutions,
– K100 million for the Compensation Fund

– K65 million for conducting of the 2022 Census of Population.
– K678.1 million to the Public Service Pension Fund to facilitate payment of retirees’ dues. K169.3 million for implementation of the Social Cash Transfer Programme.

– K500 million to the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) for dismantling outstanding bills
– K3.2 billion towards the payment of both domestic and external debt respectively.
– K977.8 million for liquidating outstanding liabilities related to previously consumed goods and services under various line Ministries, Provinces and Agencies.

o Of this amount, K150 million went towards liquidating fuel arrears.
o K170.6 million was for capital projects
o K164.9 million to support the operations of other public entities and quasi-government institutions.
o To continue with the effective mobilisation of tax revenue resources, the Zambia Revenue Authority was funded K208.2 million while

o K223.2 million went towards supporting the operations of local authorities across the country through the Local Government Equalisation Fund (LGEF).

– K3.0 billion on costs relating to the Public Service Wage Bill and overseas allowances (personal emoluments) in order to ensure the timely payment of February salaries for various public service workers, including teaching, medical and security personnel.
