THREE YEAR GIRL DIES IN SEPTIC TANK
A three-year-old girl has died in a septic tank at home in Nakonde’s Zesco area.
The baby’s father, Morgan Siame, has told Chete FM News that he received a phone call around 16:00hrs yesterday informing him that his child was seriously sick.
But upon reaching home, he found people crying and learned his daughter fell in the septic tank.
He identified her as Favour Nakamba.
It’s alleged Favour was playing with another toddler at the time she tried run across the soakaway which was covered with an empty sack.
Both parents were not around when this occurred.
The family has been taking care of the house they live in as is common practice in Nakonde for people who choose to live in or near town in search of better opportunities.
The funeral home is about a kilometer from the scene.
Mr Siame said the death of his child comes when he has nothing to offer people coming to mourn with the family.
