TRUMP ORDERS DOJ PROBE INTO DEMOCRAT EXTORTION AFTER MIDTERM WIN
President Trump has directed the Department of Justice to investigate what he calls a criminal campaign of threats and extortion by Democrats targeting Republicans, donors, and his allies in the days after they won the midterms. In a statement shared widely online, Trump declared the move official and demanded immediate action.
“By copy of this statement, I am ordering the Department of Justice to look into this criminal act, immediately!” Trump wrote. He added, “This is extortion at the highest level, and they should be held accountable for this.”
The president described Democrats as targeting major donors and supporters purely for their political affiliation. “They’re threatening our Donors, some of the most respected people anywhere in the World, with imprisonment… just because they happen to be Republicans, or Republican supporters. This is Weaponization and Lawfare at another level.
Within days of their midterm gains, Democrats shifted from campaigning on affordability to promising investigations and removals. Rep. Hank Johnson called for Attorney General Todd Blanche to be “impeached and convicted and removed from office,” while incoming Judiciary Committee Chair Jamie Raskin pledged hearings. Democrats have also signaled plans to pursue new White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
Trump specifically called out Sen. Elissa Slotkin, who previously said she wanted enough “deterrence” so that young conservatives would think twice before working in a Republican administration. The president responded that the real targets of imprisonment should be the ones making these threats.
“The imprisonment should be against these EXTORTIONISTS, and Republicans should get smart, fast!” Trump stated. He noted that he has experienced weaponization firsthand and warned that Democrats are already overreaching after winning on kitchen-table issues. The post circulating the statement concluded that this focus on lawfare instead of governing will backfire.
