TRUMP PUTS THREE OPTIONS ON THE TABLE FOR IRAN
U.S. President Donald Trump said he is in “decision mode” over the future of the war with Iran, outlining three possible paths: “blow up Iran,” allow it to “rot economically,” or reach a deal.
Trump made the remarks during a phone conversation with Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst.
“My question is, do I blow the whole nation up, and when do I do it? They better behave,” Trump said, adding that “very important things” would happen in the “not-too-distant future.”
At the same time, Trump left the door open to diplomacy, saying he would be willing to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during Pezeshkian’s visit to New York for the UN General Assembly.
According to the report, Tehran has also sent Washington a list of conditions for ending the war through Qatari mediation, including:
▪️ An end to hostilities on all fronts.
▪️ The release of frozen Iranian funds.
▪️ An end to the naval blockade.
The White House has not publicly accepted those demands or confirmed that a Trump–Pezeshkian meeting has been scheduled.
The remarks place military escalation, economic pressure and diplomacy on the table simultaneously. For now, Trump’s comments describe possible courses of action rather than confirming that an imminent attack has been ordered.
