Twitter deal is dead – Trump celebrates Elon Musk pulling out of $44b deal to buy social media giant
Elon Musk’s decision to back out of the $44 billion agreement to acquire social networking giant has been celebrated by Donald Trump on social media.

On Friday, July 8, the former president posted his opinions on his own social network, Truth Social, not long after news broke that Musk, 51, had withdrawn a $44 billion offer.

The CEOs of the company were incensed and said they would file a lawsuit to force through the acquisition when Musk, the richest man in the world, revealed he was terminating his offer to purchase Twitter for $54.20 per share.

In a letter stating that he was breaking the agreement, Musk accused Twitter executives of refusing to provide information regarding the amount of bogus users on its website.

The billionaire blasted the social media giant for refusing to ‘comply with its contractual obligations’ throughout the acquisition process.

Former US president, reacted stating; ‘THE TWITTER DEAL IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE “TRUTH”.’
