UKA STANDS WITH HON CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI AND FAMILY IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME

20th October, 2024

The United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) and the entire nation are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two brothers of Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, former cabinet minister and former leader of the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC).

What is more heartbreaking is that this unfortunate loss of life occurred when Hon Kambwili was en route to attend a court case in Kasama far away from his hometown, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law.

Hon Kambwili’s vocal stance on issues affecting the nation like shrinking democratic space, unfair Justice, corruption and high poverty rates among other social issues privailing in the country have earned him respect and admiration among zambians.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Hon Kambwili and his family during this difficult time. We therefore, urge all Zambians to stand together in solidarity and support the Kambwili’s family as they navigate this immense loss.

May the deceased brothers find eternal peace, and may their memory continue to inspire Hon Kambwili’s tireless efforts towards a better Zambia and also wish him a quick and full recovery.

The United Kwacha Alliance (UKA ) seriously urge the government to reconsider transporting suspects to far-flung areas, which seems like a tactic to punish individuals perceived to be against the government or indeed political opponents.

This approach undermines mutual respect and fair treatment in politics and it is resource draining on both the accused persons and their families as well as on government considering the economic challenges Zambia is facing.

In the interest of fair Justice and national healing, UKA pleads with the government to reconsider this inhumane treatment on the citizens. We urge all the UKA members to attend the funeral and offer solidarity to the Kambwili family during this difficult time.

  1. Stop thinking like your partner that talks after doggy with ghosts.

If you commit a crime in Mongu, you’ll be arrested in Mongu and taken to court in Mongu even if you reside in Lusaka.Becase the high likelihood is that witnessed to your crime are in Mongu. Otherwise it means the state will have to ferrying and accommodating the witnesses when you’re the criminal.

Start thinking straight mo condemning just for your stinking stupidity in your politics.

  2. This is news. Not too long ago, Kambwili complained that his “friends” had abandoned him. This was on media.
The same people that landed Kambwili in problems after sponsoring him for the hate speeches, have resurfaced holier than thou.
Next time you sponsor people for hate speeches, sponsor them near to places where they live.

  3. Ba Katwishi, you are 100% right, the root cause for all this is nothing else but hate speech and for sure the same people who are trying to sympathize with the bereaved family are the same people who were sponsoring it. Pure hypocrisy at work.
