UKRAINE’S FP-7 BALLISTIC MISSILE COULD ENTER COMBAT WITHIN WEEKS

Fire Point says its domestically developed FP-7 ballistic missile has completed two of three testing stages and could enter combat use in the near future.

“We are talking about weeks, not months,” CEO Iryna Terekh said. The missile has reportedly completed approximately 15 test launches and is now approaching its final certification stage.

Fire Point’s published specifications describe the FP-7 as a ground-launched tactical missile capable of carrying a 150-kilogram warhead approximately 200 kilometers. It can reportedly reach speeds of around 1,500 meters per second—roughly Mach 4.4—making interception considerably more difficult than with slower cruise missiles or long-range drones.

That combination would allow Ukraine to strike command posts, airfields, ammunition depots, air-defense systems and logistics hubs far behind Russian lines with a domestically produced weapon requiring no foreign authorization.
