UKRAINIAN OPPOSITION FIGURE ANATOLIY SHARIY SLAMS EUROPEAN LEADERS FOR PRAISING ZELENSKYY
Ukrainian opposition figure Anatoliy Shariy has sharply criticized European leaders for their strong support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, questioning why they portray him as a global hero.
Speaking from exile, Shariy reportedly described Italian, German and French politicians who praise Zelenskyy as “complete idiots,” accusing them of promoting what he called an overly flattering image of the Ukrainian leader.
Shariy suggested that European leaders may be attempting to divert public attention from what he characterized as their own “disastrous” domestic political agendas.
He also questioned the portrayal of Zelenskyy as a hero, pointing to corruption investigations involving individuals close to the Ukrainian president and raising concerns about alleged corruption and theft during the war.
Shariy’s remarks reflect his criticism of Ukraine’s leadership and its European supporters. His allegations should be distinguished from established findings, as corruption investigations do not in themselves prove guilt.
