The United Party for National Development –UPND- has challenged the Law Association of Zambia –LAZ- and other human rights organization to come to the rescue of Constitutional Lawyer John Sangwa from allegedly PF threats.
Speaking at a media briefing in Choma this morning, Party Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said the UPND is alarmed with a statement issued by the Patriotic Front directing its members to treat Mr. Sangwa as a political enemy.
Mr. Mweetwa said the PF should be happy that this matter will come to its finality saying state counsel John Sangwa has a constitutional right to pursue justices from any Zambian court.
And Mr. Mweetwa has also challenged President Edgar Lungu’s running mate Nkandu Luo to stop using tax payers’ money because she is not mandated to do so.
Mr. Mweetwa said being a running mate to President Lungu in the forthcoming elections does not earn Professor Luo as National Vice Presidency.
