UPND IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE CALLS ON PRESIDENT HH TO FIRE CORNELIUS MWEETWA.
Dear editor,
OUR Member of Parliament here in Choma Central, who is also Southern Province Minister, Cornelius Mweetwa must stop embarrassing Government.
It looks like Mr. Mweetwa fails to make sound decision because where he is supposed to make consultations with relevant authorities, he is quick to rush to the media to make statements over an issue that can be resolved internally as if to show that he is working.
His statement on the teacher recruitment process in Southern Province is embarrassing to say the least. Okay, he made that order to the Provincial Education Officer to revise the report sent to the Teaching Service Commission (TCZ) on teachers’ recruitment over alleged lack of consultation but where was he?
How come Mr. Mweetwa only woke up from slumber after the process was concluded? If he had misgivings about the process, why didn’t he engage the Provincial Education Office so that whatever he feels was wrong could be ironed out? The names are out now; what message is he sending about Government over this exercise? That it should be declared null and void?
The problem with Mr. Mweetwa is that he thinks the provincial office or the TCZ is not part of Government because if he understood this, he would not have been getting excited to embarrass these institutions in public and try to appear to be working.
Sometimes, I fail to understand our MP.
Hachoose PM,
Choma
