UPND’S PRODIGAL DAUGHTER CHARMAIN MUSONDA CHASED AS SHE ATTEMPTED TO DEFECT BACK TO THE PARTY.
Former Lusaka province UPND trustee, Charmain Musonda who defected from the party to join the then ruling Patriotic Front has been chased from the UPND secretariat where she was due to DEFECT.
The party’s women said they don’t want her near the UPND describing her as a political prostitute and sellout.
Ms. Musonda was annoyed with the party’s decision of not adopting her in chilanga constituency and opted to DEFECT to the PF with only 2 months to the August 2022 polls.
During her defection parade, Ms. Musonda described the UPND as a cult organisation which was only interested in using people for its selfish gains.
She then went flat out campaigning for the PF advising Zambians not to vote for the UPND a party of Tonga’s.
But on Tuesday morning, Ms. Musonda saw it fit to go back to the party she demonized so much to the dislike of her fellow women who said they don’t want her.
After several demands the UPND leadership led by the party’s Secretary General Batuke Imenda scammed to pressure and offloaded Ms. Musonda to the delight of the chanting women.
Meanwhile another PF member who was a front runner for the Lusaka constituency MP position under the PF charity Lumpa has defected to the UPND.
Ms. Lumpa who after being left out on the adoptions by the PF but opted to stand as an independent before withdrawing and going back to PF again said the PF is nolonger an anattractive party.
She says she wants to work with the UPND to foester national development.
