Nakacinda’s hallucinations are still haunting him due to his overdose of bitterness.

Nakachinda is trying by all means to get people’s sympathy and gain political mileage in the midst of a well calculated propaganda campaign. The comparisons he is comparing Zambia with do not apply at all. For example if we take SWAPO, SWAPO is a liberation struggle party for Namibia and it can only make sense to be a sister liberation struggle party like UNIP and not MMD, PF or UPND.
Then when we come to old and mature democracies like UK and America, they only have two main parties which keep on exchanging in forming government. In UK, we have Torres or Conservatives and Labour while in America, we Democrats and Republicans. These are parties that can’t be compared to Zambian ones because power exchange is always issue and policy based, they have nothing to do with tribalism, nepotism and other vices that we have here. For example, immigration and international policy on Russia-Ukraine war, Israeli-Gaza war etc were major issues in the American campaigns. However, in America, there are rare circumstances where a president has been re-elected on two none consecutive terms the way Trump has done. In 1884, Grover Cleveland was defeated by Benjamin Harrison when he wanted to go for the second term in 1888 but only to come and defeat him in 1892 becoming the 22nd and 24th President of the USA just like Trump has become the 45th and 47th President of the USA. But don’t forget that on both occasions, Trump had weak competitors, women. At first he had Hilary Clinton and this time Kamala Harris. If he had a strong and popular opponent like Barrack Obama or Al Gore, I am sure the story could have been different. We all know that even Democrats themselves were divided over Biden’s candidature. The other well known factor is that Americans are not yet ready for a female president, USA feels that she is the captain of the world and it is still difficult to give that captaincy to a woman. Back home here in Zambia, Even Lungu himself knows that HH is a very strong and popular opponent whom he can not easily defeat just after one term in office, may be in very unlikely circumstances, he can try in 2031. Even if alebwelelapo has happened in Brazil, USA, Ghana, I don’t see it happening in Zambia.

The issue at hand is very sensitive and of public interest. Allowing people to go to Supreme Court grounds will be chaotic and the police cannot contain the situation when it becomes volatile. Therefore, the public broadcasting of the eligibility case of Edgar Chagwa Lungu is good idea in the right direction.

From the statements issued by Raphael Nakachinda and Emmanuel Mwamba it seems the PF is seeking public sympathy aimed at influencing the public to sympathise with the PF. Also, comparing the come back to power by former presidents in other countries cannot be an agenda to influence the will of the people to be sympathetic with Edgar Chagwa Lungu. The former president Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu was a dictator and a ruthless leader who failed to contain hooliganism, thuggery and corruption. He promoted tribalism and ethnic divisions.

On the other hand, those who have come back to power have had a very good reputation and track record of good leadership. Former leaders’ come back to power is based on their track record than on mere sympathy, rethoric and propaganda agenda.

Emmanuel Mwamba the manufacturer of lied and propaganda is working hard to spread falsehood.

Edger Lungu is a very confused man. Do also his followers. Sometimes he behaves like a label lesder.

This is a high tension case. We want to listen not to be told. It should be broadcast live. I thought PF were going to commend this move.
