PRESIDENT HH SAYS THE COUNTRY HAS GENERATED ‘ELECTRICITY’ WITH THE TRIP TO USA.
President Hakainde Hichilema has returned home from the US where he went to attend the 76th UN General Assembly and other bilateral and multilateral meeting with various organizations.
President Hichilema arrived at 14:00 hours aboard a Emirates flight.
President Hichilema said his trip to the UN General Assembly had generated ‘electricity’ and goodwill which must be exploited for the benefits of Zambians.
“We will raise the bar high,” he said.
He reiterated the need for economic reconstruction if the unemployment challenge is to be sorted out.
And President Hichilema said there was so much anxiety among Zambians with the manner the investigative wings were handling cases of those suspected to have stolen public resources because they believe a lot of resources were misappropriated and stolen under the previous regime.
He however maintained that the investigative wings must conduct their work professionally as they investigate corruption related matters.
