Vice president Mutale Nalumango says government will not be pushed to fire people perceived to have been employed by the former governing party the PF.
Responding to a question paused by Zambezi East Member of Parliament Brian Kambita on why the UPND government is taking long to fire PF civil servants whom he suspects of sabotaging the government affairs, Ms. Nalumango explained that her government is taking into account every legal means before making a decision.
She says government doesn’t want to do haphazard things just to get rid of some people.
The vice president says her government is fully aware of the growing concern about the perceived slowness by the UPND government to take charge of the country but begged for patience.
She further said that other than following the legal provisions in dealing with the matter, government also wants to ensure that right people are identified to fill up every position that will be left vacant.
This was during the vice presidents question time in parliament.
