Some UPND mayors have responded to information indicating that they have been threatened to withdraw from the court case against the government over salary arrears and gratuities, arguing they have not been coerced into doing so.
Over 60 UPND, PF and independent mayors have sought a joinder to an ongoing matter where over 121 mayors sued the Attorney General in 2019 seeking payment of salary arrears and gratuities.

Did this case come up in 2019? I didnt read right. Ambassador Mwamba believes and wants the 1.8m to continue to belives that almighty PF was working very well. They paid their workers well; never defaulted on debt to farmers; pensioners were paid and things were so well but alas, the 2.8m just hated them! mayors, please get from where Kasaka ka dalama is. Iam sure also to stay out of the country is not cheap!
