WE’VE TODAY SIGNED AN OVER US$326 MILLION CONCESSION AGREEMENT WITH BAROTSE HIGHWAY LIMITED CONSORTIUM TO UPGRADE THE 371KM MUTANDA-KASEMPA-KAOMA ROAD (WESTERN CORRIDOR) TO INTERNATIONAL BITUMINOUS STANDARD VIA THE PPP FINANCING MODEL 🛣️🇿🇲
This historic project will include the following key features:
✅ Upgrading of a total of 10km of urban roads in Kasempa town to bituminous standard.
✅ Upgrading of a total of 10km of urban roads in Kaoma town to bituminous standard.
✅ Two new bridges to be constructed at Lalafuta and Luena rivers along the corridor.
✅ Concession period is 25 years, with 2 years for construction and 23 years for operation and maintenance.
