WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND – LUBINDA
As he expresses displeasure with police denying party member Geoffrey Mwamba bond following his arrest today, PF acting president Given Lubinda says what goes around comes around.
Mr Lubinda told the media in Lusaka at Woodlands police station where Mr GBM is detained that when such things happen, people need to know that they made a mistake on 12 August last year.
He said it is disappointing that on matters that are bailable, former Defense Minister has been denied bail.
“It is very clear from the conduct of police officers that they are looking over their shoulders to receive decisions that are being made not by themselves but by the people above them. We want to just remind everybody that what goes around comes around. When things like this happen we should know that we made a mistake in 2021,” he said.
Mr Lubinda said the accused has not committed treason or involved in any terrorists’ acts adding that the ordinary things police should have done is to grant GBM bond.
