WHY PRESIDENT LUNGU DESERVES ANOTHER FIVE-YEAR MANDATE TO GOVERN
President Edgar Lungu deserves another five-year mandate to govern as he has exibited exemplarly leadership skills.
We say so because the democratic space has expanded during these few years he has been in office.
However,the expanded democratic space has been grossly abused by some politicans in alliance with media outlets hostile to Government by their persistent and baseless criticism of President Lungu’s character and leadership style.
President Lungu promotes and defends the freedom of expression and the media as well as the freedoms of association and assembly.
The fact that no-one has been arrested or harassed by the Police for expressing their views is testimony that the Republican President is indeed a democrat who tolerates divergent views.
President Lungu has most of all demonstrated that he’s a selfless and humble leader with a heart for the poor or the vunerable people in our society as evidenced by so many citizen empowerment initiatives Government has put in place.
It’s only under the stewardship of President Lungu that the country has witnessed unprecedented all-inclusive and robust development agenda,which is tailored not to leave anyone behind,rolled out in all parts of the country.
It’s for these reasons we are urging once again Zambians to give President Lungu’s another five-year mandate to govern the country as he has demonstrated a tacit commitment to improve their welfare.
