WHY WERE THE THREE (3) JUDGES REMOVED — WYNTER KABIMBA
Opposition, Economic Front President, Wynter Kabimba has strongly suggested that no individual or political party is in a position to comment on the matter of the fired constitutional judges aside from the Judicial Complaint Commission (JCC).
In an interview with The Monitor and Digest, Mr Kabimba has refuted claims of unfairness noting that there is no political witch hunt in the country.
Mr Kabimba adds that the Judicial Complaints Commission has not disclosed to the public the reason to ascertain why the three (3) judges were removed, hence no person is in a position to meaningfully comment on the matter.
He has appealed to the media to push the relevant authorities to give out reasons as to why the Judges were removed unceremoniously.
The Former Minister explains that the current regime has been administering the rule of law in it’s governance system of operations.
Mr Kabimba adds that if the definition of the rule of law means that everyone should be treated equally then the New Dawn Government is doing it because they have not departed from the practice.
The removal of Judges by the President as recommend by the JCC, speaks to a major departure from previous practices and as things stand, the law, which was changed is failing to meet public expectations. It will be very interesting to interrogate the reason why the law was changed by the previous regime to the growing perception of judicial interference.
Maybe people are complaining because of the doldrums left by not disclosing why the 3 Judges were withdrawn. Air finds way into empty space….but in life I have come in love with the saying :Love is blind. Winter Kabimba was at one time blind when he partnered with ECL’s PF …which was toxic and cadre infected…We can defend wives we love even when they are stingy in our homes ……that’s being smart in politics….as well as in marriages….everyone has opinion
The three are supposed to be jailed for failing to meet voters confidence. They are a let down to citizens of this country. We expected them to be free and fair in conduct but they brought us this far. God forbit, in my opinion they are worst kind of judges ever have in Judiciary and if there are others behaving as such, they must resign and do something else because they are bad elements, bad advocates
