WYNTER KABIMBA TEARS INTO HH ELECTORAL PROMISES

Kellys Kaunda

A while ago, l was listening to Wynter Kabimba on Hot FM in which he was reflecting on the UPND time in office so far.

First, Wyinter may be leading a political party that, in terms of numbers or parliamentary representation is small. However, his thought process and commentary on matters of governance is huge, rich and informative.

Without prejudice, listen to him and add to your stock of knowledge. For instance, his work in local authorities at the level of Town Clerk gives him authority to comment and advise constructively on decentralization and CDF. So listen to what he has to say.

On investigating corruption and crimes where he had suggested to Sata to send young people abroad to go and train so that the fight against white collar crimes is systematic and well informed, l agree with him totally.

Recently, the University of Sussex introduced a Masters Degree in Governance and Corruption. I encourage officers at ACC to take it up. At Liverpool John Moore University, there is a new MSc in Financial Crimes Investigations.

I would encourage police detectives, officers at FIC and DEC to enroll in these programs. These courses will definitely add value to existing efforts aimed at the fight against corruption.

So next time Wynter is on a radio program, pay attention. It’s not everything he said l agree with. For instance, Wynter has no moral standing on the issue of keeping election promises. PF promised more money in the pocket. A number of Zambians do not think PF fulfilled this promise.

The MMD of Chiluba made promises that Zambians in the end did not benefit from until the party lost power when RB was President.

Politicians evaluating each other is as funny as the Bemba saying that Bakolwe basekana ifipato🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
