“you’ll never leave the EFF and sound normal”. Julius Malema offloads on Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

At a press briefing meant for the EFF to explain their loses at the local elections, and to map a way forward, Julius Malema took the time to hammer down on Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, like he was the cause of EFF loses at the polls. Malema  went on to call Ndlozi a person with an “over exaggerated self-importance”.

The EFF leader was responding to Ndlozi’s recent radio interview, in which Ndlozi disclosed that he did not vote in the local elections. In the interview, Ndlozi said the reason why he did not vote is because he does not want to take part “in the further division of black people”. Ndozi went on to say that 600 black political parties compared to just two parties of white people, indicate thedivision of black people for personal interests of party leaders.

Speaking about the hundreds of black political parties, Ndlozi said black people are forced to scatter in a multtudes of parties unnecessarily. “we are forced to choose among people who have already had their chance, yet fail to address unemployment and poverty. I am part of the 51% of voters who are unmoved by this continuous atomization of our people”, said Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

Well, Julius Malema was totally unhappy with what Ndlozi said, and he was not about to let it go like that. The EFF CIC said what Ndlozi is doing is abnormal and it is common with people who leave the EFF. He continued to lambast Ndlozi, saying he is showing lack of gratitude to those who fought for his right to vote.

“I tell you all the time, you will never leave the EFF and sound normal. How do you not vote, and you think it’s normal? Your over-exaggerated self-importance (the EFF will beat you up to the point where you quit even voting)”, said Julius Malema. The EFF leader also took a jab at Tambo Mbeki for not opposing what he called stupid decision by Ndlozi.

Well, for Malema, it was tit-for-tat, as what ndlozi said was informed by his knowledge and understanding of the EFF. Ndlozi spoke about failed leaders who dont leave the seat of power and who still want to be voted for, even after they have failed. This can speak, in part, to Julius Malema in the EFF, and also to the current leader of country, Cyril Ramaphosa. For Malema, his reluctance to leave the power seat in the EFF has been a boiling pot in the party.

In 2024, the EFF lost its 10% margin in the elections and went down to 9%. It was at that time in the EFF when a new leader should have emerged, but that did not happen. Julius malema has continued to bleed the EFF votes to the point that the party is now ranking just above 6%, after the local government elections.

Much as Ndlozi may boycott elections in protest of leaders who dont leave power, even after they have failed, Julius Malema is unlikely to leave apower anytime soo. The politics of the stomach in the hundreds of black political parties in South Africa are also unlikely to change
