…as long as you stole, Mwaliteta warns PF

ZAMBIANS are still hurt by the reckless management of the country by PF, says Lusaka Province UPND chairman Obvious Mwaliteta.
“As long as you stole, you are not safe. When they (Zambians) see PF, they see plunderers and murderers,” he said.
Mwaliteta, in a Facebook broadcast on Monday, said that the angry reaction of onlookers and street vendors towards sympathisers of acting PF president Given Lubinda who had escorted him to ACC spoke volumes.
An angry mob of suspected street vendors asked police to remove PF sympathisers who were mainly slogan chanting women from the entrance of the Anti-Corruption Commission building, stressing that their act was promoting lawlessness.
The ACC has since arrested and charged Lubinda for corruption involving more than US $539,000.
“PF I want you to accept one fact. You have created a lot of enemies. All those traders in the Airtel and MTN booths are your enemies because you used to collect big monies from those people.
So when they saw people giving solidarity to the PF president, they were reminded of how you used to treat them. That is why they were chased,” he said. “Those were ordinary members of the public. If they were UPND, I would have taken responsibility as Lusaka Province chairman. You treated people as though they were ATMs (Automated Tailor Machine) for you cadres every day. You think they can forget? Even educated people like Lubinda are also dull. People are angry especially in town centre. As for me, I can account for how… We didn’t even know some of us that today you [Lubinda] were supposed to appear [before the ACC]. So if you want to use grammar there, mixing English, and telling the nation you are being victimised… You are gone. You are history. What you have in PF was not even cadres. It was thugs. You gave caderism a bad name. And when people saw criminals gathering at ACC, they chased them.”
Mwaliteta said the sooner the PF accepted their fate, the better for the country.
“It is too early for you to believe you will never come back in power but we will give you another six months. I was touched when I saw that members of the public in the streets were chasing you. You have an uphill battle,” he said. “As long as you stole, you are not safe. When Kennedy Kamba was provincial chair, when he moves in an area, there will be 15 vehicles. There would be 200 youths protecting him. You have never seen me with even two vehicles. I move alone because I have nothing to fear.”
Mwaliteta said when Zambians see PF they are reminded of misery.
And Mwaliteta said PF should not involve President Hakainde Hichilema in answering to their wrong deeds.
“I am a good example here. You arrested me again in Kafue that I had pangas. Seven days, you never gave me bond. When I went to court and got bail you re-arrested me and embarrassed me. My trousers were torn when you were rearresting me at the magistrate courts. Have you forgotten?” he asked. “Do you know how many UPND youths who wanted to misbehave who are in cells today? Go to Matero [Police], go to Lusaka Central [Police Station] you will find UPND youths… You damaged this country beyond repair. HH is doing the best, so don’t distract him. He is not sleeping. He is in so many meetings trying to bring things to order. You, PF, are not going to find sympathy from the public no matter what type of English you will use. Zambians are still hurt. They are going through hard times today because of your recklessness in management of the country.”
Mwaliteta said the UPND does not have cadres loitering in town.
“For your information our members were busy at a funeral. You are aware that we lost our DC (district commissioner) for Katete. The funeral was in Chawama,” said Mwaliteta.”No member of UPND went to harass PF cadres who went to escort Given Lubinda to ACC but when I watched on TV, you will see those are street vendors
