ZAMBIAN FEMALE WEIGHTLIFTER MAKES HISTORY AT ARNOLD’S CLASSICS
Zambia’s Cherry Muchindu has become the first indigenous African to win a Bronze Medal at the Arnold classics strongman Championships.


Muchindu finished third in the women’s open weight7 category to book her slot on the podium at the event held in Washington, USA.
She has told ZNBC sports in an interview that she will continue getting better with training.


Muchindu who is also the local and continental champion, says her next target is to win Silver or Gold.


Meanwhile, Zambia Strongman Federation President, Patterson Muzondiwa has thanked government for the support given to the team to enable them to travel.


Muzondiwa says the athletes will continue repaying the support by winning medals and bringing glory to the country.
