ZAMBIAN GOVT SUED OVER DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH ISRAEL

The Zambian Government has been taken to the Constitutional Court over its decision to establish diplomatic relations with the State of Israel.
Former Lumezi Member of Parliament Munir Zulu, who has filed the petition, contends that the move contravenes Articles 8(d) and 9(1)(c) of the Constitution, which highlight human dignity as a national value and guide the implementation of State policy.
Mr. Zulu has cited Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha as the first respondent and Foreign Affairs Minister Mulambo Haimbe as the second respondent.
In his petition, he is asking the Constitutional Court to declare Zambia’s relations with Israel unconstitutional.
He also refers to the 1973 decision by then President Kenneth Kaunda to cut diplomatic ties with Israel, which he says was influenced by Zambia’s support for the Palestinian cause.

We stand in respect and believe in the Word of God in the Bible and here are verses that talks about standing with Israel and being blessed :

– *Psalm 122:6*: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’”
These verses emphasize the importance of supporting and blessing Israel, and promise blessings to those who do so. They also highlight God’s love and protection for Israel and those who stand with them.

– *Zechariah 2:8*: “For this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—’”
– *Genesis 27:29*: “Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you. May you be master over your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed, and those who bless you be blessed.”
These scriptures demonstrate God’s love and protection for Israel and those who support them.
And for Zambia to re- establish relationship with Isresl again is a very good thing in the right directuon. We greatly thank His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema for this great move. It is not by might nor power but by the grace of God that he did this. Zsmbia is now greatly in the hands and protection of the ALMIGHTY GOD.
