ZAMBIAN PARA-ATHLETICS SET FOR PARIS 2024 PARALYMPIC GAMES
Meet Monica Munga and Lassam Katongo, the duo that will be representing Zambia at the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games to be held from Wednesday, 28th August 2024 to Sunday, 8th September 2024 in Paris, France.
Both Munga and Katongo will be competing in the 400m Race, with Munga competing in the Women’s T13 while Katongo will be competing in the Men’s T12 with a guide.
The letter T represents their classification, with the numbers 11-13 representing vision impairment.
Munga will be making her second appearance at the Paralympic Games after her debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games in Japan. On the other side, Katongo will be making his third appearance at the games after his debut at the Beijing 2008 Games in China, followed by the London 2012 Games in England, United Kingdom.
Team Zambia for the Paralympic Games is managed by the National Paralympic Committee of Zambia.
The National Olympic Committee of Zambia media team met up with the athletes and technical officials as they prepare to depart for the games.
