ZAMBIA’S FUTURE BRIGHTER UNDER HICHILEMA- UPND’s CHILESHE

By pumulo mubita, Ndola, October 2024

United Party for National Development (UPND) PSP-PCT Digital Media Director Cosmas Chileshe has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for participating in the 2024 National Day of Fasting, Repentance, and Reconciliation. Chileshe described this gesture as a testament to the President’s unwavering commitment to Zambia’s declaration as a Christian nation.

“President Hichilema’s presence at the national day of prayers demonstrates his respect for Zambia’s Christian heritage,” Chileshe said during a radio interview on Chimwemwe Radio in Ndola. “This move has left opposition critics in shame, as they previously alleged that the UPND administration disregarded the national day of prayers.”

Chileshe emphasized the significance of this day, particularly for residents of Copperbelt Province, which he described as Zambia’s “political bedrock.” He highlighted President Hichilema’s efforts to revitalize the region’s economy, citing the reopening of Mopani and KCM mines, as well as Shaft 28 mine in luanshya.

“President Hichilema has fixed what was broken,” Chileshe stated. “These developments demonstrate his dedication to Zambia’s progress, despite challenges such as drought, cholera, COVID-19, and debt.”

Chileshe attributed Zambia’s resilience to President Hichilema’s leadership, calling him “the best president in Zambia and globally.” He cautioned that development is a gradual process, rather than an overnight event.

“If we had sufficient rain, we wouldn’t be discussing high mealie meal prices,” Chileshe noted. “The President’s engagement with traditional leaders in development efforts is commendable.”

Looking ahead to the 2024/2025 farming season, Chileshe predicted a bountiful harvest, citing the National Day of Fasting, Repentance, and Reconciliation as a catalyst for divine intervention.

“President Hichilema loves Copperbelt, and Zambia’s future is brighter under his leadership,” Chileshe concluded.

His remarks come as President Hichilema’s administration continues to prioritize economic recovery, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs.
