ZINDONGA, MVULA FINED FOR ASSAULTING AND TOUCHING T*STICLES OF ‘FORD RANGER TEACHER’

Mazabuka Magistrate Court has fined Passion Loans Director Overty Sindonga and his Manager Allan Mvula with K2,500 and K1,000 respectively for assaulting Kaonga Secondary School Teacher Cephas Bwanga over K200, 000 loan.

Byta FM Court Beat Journalist reports that Sindonga and Mvula will be jailed for three months if they do not pay the fines.

This is a matter where Zindoga (37) together with his Branch Manager Mvula (38) are charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 248 of the penal code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence are that Zindoga And Allan Mvula on 26th March, 2022 jointly and whilst acting together did assault Cephas Bwanga thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.

Facts before the court are that the two accused assulted the complaint and forcibly grabbed a Ford Ranger from him and after ‘touching’ Cephas Bwanga’s t*sticles.

In delivering Judgement, Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya said that reckless behaviour should not be tolareted in the community.

She therefore, charged Zindonga with a fine of K2,500 to pay the complaint through the court in default three months simple imprisonment.

Mvula has been fined K1,000.
