ZRA BOSS CONTINUES WITCH-HUNT, FIRES DIRECTORS FAILS TO MEET TARGET.

Zambia Revenue Authority(ZRA) Acting Commisioner General Dingani Banda has continued to fire all performing members of staff at the revenue institution accusing them of being close to former Commissioner General Dr Kingsley Chanda.
The latest causality to have been fired Chibale Chimambo, the Director in charge of Innovation at ZRA. Dingani has strongly accused Chibale of being close to the former Commisioner General Dr Kingsley Chanda and this is what has earned him a dismissal despite performing his duties well.
For the first time in 5 years, ZRA has failed to meet its revenue target due to the frustration of staff and the ZRA union is unhappy which may lead to a strike soon.
In the recent past, Dingani has fired and suspended Directors, transferred over 79 officers to rural areas without consulting his commissioners and has also canceled the Copperbelt university contract to develop a modern customs system despite ZRA having spent millions of dollars to have it developed.
The failure by ZRA to meet revenue targets has made it impossible for the UPND government to fulfill its promises to Zambians.
As February comes to an end, the ZRA is below revenue collection targets by over K2 billion. – Zambia Reports
