When two people constantly post their love for each other, or share pictures of themselves doing fun and romantic activities, it’s a ploy to convince everyone else they’re in a happy and healthy relationship, which is really just a way to trick themselves into thinking they’re in a happy and healthy relationship.

S£x0logist l Nikki Goldstein told Mail Online: “Often it’s the people who post the most who are seeking validation for their relationship from other people on social media.

“The likes and comments can be so validating that when someone is really struggling, that’s where they get their up from — not the person making the gesture, but what other people will say about it.”

I’ve been married for 25yrs. I know what I’m talking about. Marriage isn’t a walk in the park…it’s not tiptoeing through the roses…no, marriage is two imperfect people trying to live together to create a loving, secure environment for each other and the children. It is not about posting 3min clips of smiling, laughing and inserting heart emojis all over the place.

If you can’t envision yourself growing old with your partner, then something is fundamentally broken in your union. If your foundation is weak…your marriage won’t miraculously blossom. Life has a way of testing your union and pushing you to the brink…and trust me, life tests the best of marriages.

So the next time you see a couple that’s been married for less than 2 years and they’re constantly posting 3 minute video clips on Facebook…just know that you’re looking at a “Mirage” not a “Marriage”

I’m not hating, I’m helping.
