2019 AFRICAN AMERICAN HOMECOMING GROUP TO BAROTSELAND… ERIC SHEPPARD DIES IN USA.
In 2019, a group of African Americans from USA arrived in Barotseland for what they termed as “Homecoming 2019”.
Mr Eric Sheppard went to the Litunga Imwiko II of Barotseland, where upon seeing him, the Litunga named as “Mubita”. which means a sojourner.
According to Mr Eric Sheppard, he claimed that his ancestors arrived in the Americas in 1619 in a British as slaves… after studying history thoroughly, Eric Sheppard Mubita discovered that; his ancestors came from Barotseland as his grandfather Moses grandy wrote in a book that they lived in a floodplain, in southern Africa, a piece which led Eric Sheppard to Barotseland.
According to historical sources, there was slave trade in Barotseland which was done by Asians… and that’s the reason why, Indians and Arabs are still banned from doing business in Barotseland.
History shows that; it was KING Mulambwa santulu who abolished slave trade in Barotseland, and that’s, he was nicknamed “Mula mbwa” which means you buy dogs not people.
Eric Sheppard Mubita was given a 300 hectares of Land in sefula where he had asked the Zambian government to build Restoration center where people would be doing free DNA testing if they wanted to find out about their ancestry.
As it stands, nothing has been built by his LLC Mubita company in Barotseland.
