2026 WILL BE “DON’T KUBEBA RELOADED” – SHI MWAPE TELLS UPND

Lusaka… Friday May 2, 2025 – Socialist Party (SP) President’s Political Advisor, Preston Chinyama, has warned that the 2026 general elections will mark the resurgence of a silent but potent citizens’ resistance, condemning the UPND-led government of betraying the people’s trust and acting as agents of foreign capital.

In a statement, Chinyama alias Shi Mwape, accused the ruling party of morphing into “a criminal cartel” that is “raping the sacred documents of the land” and violating the Constitution with impunity.

“They looked humble but that was pure pretence,” he charged. “They lied in opposition and they continue to lie in government… Now that they want us silent, we will manoeuvre silently.”

The Socialist Party official drew historical parallels between present-day economic exploitation and colonial pillage, referencing the tragic killing of Ngoni commander Nsingu and the carving up of Africa by colonial powers.

He accused the UPND government of serving the interests of multinational corporations that continue to extract Zambia’s mineral wealth while ordinary citizens remain impoverished.

“They have become auctioneers,” he contended, “granting tax holidays to the same mining cartels that fund them, even as those same mines post record profits in foreign stock exchanges.”

Shi Mwape stated that the government’s priorities are dictated by external interests, citing what he termed the “illegal selling of electricity” to neighbouring countries and the lack of transparency in fuel procurement.

He also referenced the still-pending delivery of ambulances and what he called “manufactured by-elections driven by selfish motives.”

“Their time is running out,” he said. “They know too well that they won’t manage to undo their lies. That is why they are panicking.”

The statement signalled the beginning of mass mobilization and formation of an opposition united front aimed at unseating the ruling party in 2026.

“Don’t Kubeba is back,” he declared. “This time, it’s reloaded. We will mobilise, organise, educate and agitate. The working masses, the true owners of the revolution, will take charge.”

Shi Mwape closed with proverbial language in Bemba, calling for solidarity and patience, indicating that the political tide will turn through people power.

“Mango taipila pamo, lelo nenshiku tashichela mumo. Uwa kweba imfya ya noko, muntashi. Uumfya ukufina Kwamucele, untu asendele. Pano tufikile, naulya uwushalimo, akabamo!”

  1. Youths are receiving free skills training regardless of their education background and you think they would like to change the status core ,you are dreaming

  2. Ooo! Even if people are blinded to believe and stay with lies, but this one, the so called opposition political parties have terribly missed it. For me and other like minded Zambians will not listen to your filthy lies.

    1. Every time be it on radio stations and alike, you are just saying HH has failed to fulfill his promises. Which ones are you talking about if you really mean what you say and are saying.
    1. For example we have free education which UPND in opposition promised Zambians. It is here. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    2. NAPSA 20% withdraws: it is here and people have and are still benefiting from it. Is this not promise fulfilled?.
    3. Increased CDF from ZMK 1.6 million to ZMK 36.1 million. It is here. Is this not promise fulfilled ?
    4. Employment creation: Thousands of youths have been employed in government – ARMY, ZAF, ZNS, POLICE, Zambia Correctional Service, Immigrantion, ZRA, Teaching Service, Health etc. Is this not promise fulfilled? It is here and absolutely CLEAR and visible.
    5. Inclusive cabinet: we have an inclusive cabinet with Ministers from all the ten Provinces of Zambia. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    6. Restoration of the rule of law and stopping the ugly deadly PF anarchy and Caderism. There’s order, peace and unity in the Country now than in your PF LUNGU administration. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    7. Debt restructuring: The debt that you bought and failed to pay then to negotiate with the lenders payment period. Is this not promise fulfilled? Because HH has done it.
    8. Meal allowances in Public Universities which you removed as PF under Lungu and denied a big number of less preveraged students scholarships. It is here now and students are benefiting big time from this facilities. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    9. Lusaka Ndola dual carriage way. The road that you wanted to use to steal millions of dollars from Zambians it is on course and at a reduced price. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    10. Putting Zambia back in the leaque of champions after you as PF destroyed our identity on the international stage. We are here and there now..Is this not promise fulfilled?
    11. Preaching and encouraging hard work not hand outs. Here we are now, it is working and many more are just doing exactly that. Not tantameni NO. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    12. Building housrd and palces for our Chiefs. It is on, houses are being built for traditional chiefs. Is this not promise fulfilled?
    13. MULUNGUSHI TEXTILE IN Kàbwe: it is happening very soon it will be in full operational after almost 30 years of being dormant.
    You may say what about ;
    1. Loadshading- this is ending anytime soon since the issue was because of the un expected- unknown ( the drought) but was also a learning curve. Government is greatly investing in a number of energy generating sources which includes, solar, and green energy in addition to hydro power generation.
    2. High cost of meal mill: already signs are pointing to the reduction in meal mill prices because of the resilience and hard work culture that Zambians are now becoming. Issue of supply and demand. When production is high and being with plenty- Bumper harvest indicators and generally other interventions that this government has and is putting in place. Production of year round of our step grain food not only seasonal year round farming. WONDERFUL!
    3. High cost of fuel. What government has put in Place is bearig fruit. The TAZAMA fuel pipeline and other interventions.
    4. Exchange rate: the high production of copper as pronounced by government of 3 million tones per year once in full motion will bring in alot of foreign currences from our exports. Secondly the awakening of our industries that will allow us to export more will add to the availability of foreign currence on the markert thereby making our kwacha competitive to abd with other currencies, these in essence will balance the equation on the exchange rate.
    5. High cost of fertiliser: A number of fertiliser plants are being constructed in the Country this again will give us a leverage in terms of price reduction because we will not be ordering it from the middle east, Eukrain or Russia but it will be available from different sources and from the companies in the Country.
WITH ALL THESE INTERVENTIONS. MUKOSE NOBUFI BWENU OTHERWISE CHAPWA MWAYA

We will see your don’t Kumeńa.
