Israel Confirms Lebanon Excluded from Two-Week Ceasefire Framework
Israel has confirmed that the recently announced two-week ceasefire framework linked to tensions with Iran will not apply to Lebanon, according to statements by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israeli officials clarified that while the temporary ceasefire is being considered in the context of Iran-related hostilities, ongoing military operations involving Lebanon particularly concerning Hezboll∆h remain outside the scope of the agreement. This indicates that the broader regional situation remains complex, with different fronts being treated separately.
The clarification follows initial uncertainty over whether the ceasefire would extend to all areas of conflict.
Israel’s position makes it clear that any pause in hostilities is limited and conditional, rather than a comprehensive regional truce.
