Kanyama dad clobbers self on meeting baby mama with boyfriend
TO AVOID being arrested for gender based violence against a woman he shares a 1-year-three-month-old child with, a 26-year-old man of Kanyama Township in Lusaka has beaten himself to a pulp.
Facts of the matter as shared with TV Yatu’s #David Kashiki are that, yesterday, Justine Mweemba had visited a local pub to sip on intoxicating liquids when he met his baby mama, who was in the company of her boyfriend.
Mother to the 26-year-old narrates to TV Yatu that, Mweemba’s baby mama, allegedly abandoned her granddaughter at her doorstep, when the infant was barely a year old.
She says, her son had hoped to spend his forever after with the said baby mama but that, this changed when he caught her moaning whilst mounted by another man.
She narrates that, following this discovery, a fight ensued, a situation that led to her son being locked up for gender based violence.
However, following talks, and expression of remorse by the alleged GBV offender, he was released from detention, an act that angered Mweemba’s baby mama.
She shares that, when she heard that Mweemba had been released from detention, the baby mama visited the compound Mweemba lives in with his mother, and hurled unprintables.
Mweemba’s mother says, to the annoyance of the baby mama, Mweemba was restrained and cautioned against ever raising a finger against her.
She tells TV Yatu that, after avoiding her for a long time, Mweemba yesterday met the baby mama, who, together her boyfriend, insulted him.
To heed to his mother’s caution against raising a hand against the woman he shares a child with, Mweemba decided to smash bottles of alcohol he had in his hand, on his own head instead, leaving himself soaked in his own blood.
His mother shares that she found her son breathing feebly at her veranda, and now hopes that authorities can caution and restrain the baby mama against provoking her son into taking the law into his own hands.
