Amber Rose Says That White People Should Be Able to Say the N-Word

White model Amber Rose said white people should be allowed to say the n-word, arguing that society gives too much power to offensive language. She argued that removing weight from the word could help reduce conflict and violence in society.

Rose made the statement during an appearance on Nick Cannon’s Big Drive series, where the two discussed language, race, and social tensions. According to Complex, she suggested that how people react to words matters more than the words themselves.

“White people should be able to say n***a,” Rose said. “Because when you really stop giving a fuck about stupid, dumbass fucking words, we’ll stop killing each other.”

She added that context and intent should guide how words are understood. She said people can tell the difference between harmful speech and casual use, including how the term appears in music and everyday conversation.

“You know if somebody says the hard ‘R’ and is pointing at you, is very different than rap lyrics, or just saying, ‘That’s my n***a,’” she added. “We’re all smart enough to know what’s right and wrong, so why are we creating so much damage and meaning behind it?”

The discussion later shifted to politics. Rose claimed that Democrats “don’t care about people of color and the Republicans do,” a statement that Cannon supported during the exchange.

Cannon referenced the history of the Ku Klux Klan and political parties, saying, “People don’t know that the Democrats are the party of the KKK. People don’t know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves.”

He added that both he and Rose hold some conservative views and said he does not align fully with either party. Cannon cited W. E. B. Du Bois, saying he believes the political system operates as “one evil party with two different names.”

Cannon also spoke about Donald Trump, saying he supports what Trump has done during his second term. He described Trump’s leadership style as direct and said he is following through on his campaign promises.
