Sat. May 25, 2024

Mporokoso Member of Parliament Hon. Brian Mundubile has expressed sadness at the disappearance of Petauke Member of Parliament Hon. JJ Banda whose vehicle was found abandoned on twin palm road at around 04:20, Saturday morning.

Hon. Mundubile who is leader of opposition has called on all Parliamentarians to show solidarity to their fellow MP who is feared abducted stating that an assault on one of them is an assault on all of them.

Hon. Mundubile bemoaned that the nation is no longer safe for political opponents of the ruling government as has been witnessed with the gutting down of Mambilima Member of Parliament Hon. Jean Chisenga’s home and now the feared abduction of Hon. JJ Banda , both of whom have been seen in the entourage of Former President HE Edgar Lungu in the recent past.

He further said the incident at the Kuomboka Ceremony where Hon. Charles Milupi spoke to UPND youth Chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso not to allow political opponents to speak negatives of the President had now birthed a patten in which those seen to be close to former President Lungu were being victimised .

Mundubile has called on his fellow MPs to conven at the Ibex Hill Police Station where Hon. JJ Bandas vehicle is being kept .

  1. KK used call these type of politicians as scared little men. Remember lawyer Geoffrey Hamaundu and the drama he caused in the late 80s and early 90s? Every crook with a bit of change in the pocket now wants to a politician/MP/President etc. As a result, we have been led by parties/gangs of crooks and criminals since 1991. Apologies to the upright men and women who got swept into the fray unknowingly.

  2. My brother, if I were you, I would just wait for the police to do and finish their investigations and that’s when comments can come. Otherwise speculations won’t help us anything. Moreover the way your comments are coming out, you are even diluting the seriousness of the matter. You only come up with such speculations and suspicion when something is stage managed because at the back of your mind you already know what happened and how it was arranged. How do you connect this matter to Hon Jean Chisenga’s house before investigations are concluded? Do you mean everything that happens of this nature is connected to HH and UPND? Were there no people abducted under PF, MMD or UNIP? And how sure are you that Hon Banda was attacked in order for you to express fears for your safety? With Hon Jean Chisenga, it was just the house which was burnt but as far as we know, there was no threat to her life and she is safe. It’s normal for a house to catch fire especially in western countries where cooking gas is widely used and has nothing do with the government. Are you not the people who bought fire tenders, at an inflated price for that matter, what were they for? Were they not for quenching fire and there was no HH or UPND that time. So we should not alarm the nation for nothing because all the citizens are very safe including you. As at now we don’t know what happened to the MP, he even left a note that he was sorry and asked Zambians to forgive him, forgive him of what? Is still the question. Can an abducted or attacked person apologize to the Zambians to forgive him? It has never happened. That’s why some people are suspecting suicide. Moreover it’s also strange to go round the homes of your wives in one night and on the same night of disappearance as if you want to have l**e with them for the last time. Please let’s wait to hear from the police.
