Brooklyn Beckham sends legal warning to parents, says they must contact him only through lawyers

Things appear to have taken a more serious turn in the ongoing rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents, Sir David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

According to reports, the 26-year-old has allegedly sent a legal letter to his parents, requesting that all communication with him should now be done strictly through his lawyers.

Brooklyn, who is married to actress Nicola Peltz, has been estranged from his family for some time, with the tension becoming public after he failed to attend his father’s 50th birthday celebration.

Sources say the situation worsened towards the end of 2025 when Brooklyn reportedly blocked his parents and siblings on Instagram. This reportedly happened shortly after Victoria liked one of his posts in what insiders described as a harmless attempt to show she was thinking about him ahead of Christmas.

At the time, a source said Victoria was heartbroken and confused by the move, adding that David, as well as Brooklyn’s younger brothers Romeo and Cruz, were deeply hurt and felt cut off.

Over the New Year, Sir David shared an old photo of himself with Brooklyn on Instagram, captioned: “I love you all so much.” Victoria later reshared the post with a heart emoji. However, the gesture is said to have been ignored.

The Sun now reports that Brooklyn has taken things further by issuing a legal notice to his parents, warning them not to contact him directly. He has also reportedly rejected claims that he is being “controlled” by his wife, Nicola.

Despite the family fallout, Brooklyn is said to still be in contact with his grandparents on both sides and is making efforts to keep those relationships intact.
