Ive always safeguarded the Rule of Law-Makebi Zulu

He writes:

As Zambia continues to redefine its future, I stand guided by one enduring conviction: that the strength of our Republic rests on respect for the Constitution and fidelity to justice.

From my years in public service as Member of Parliament for Malambo and Provincial Minister for Eastern Province, to my professional life as a constitutional lawyer and advocate, my duty has always been to safeguard the rule of law, defend institutions, and promote accountable leadership.

Our nation’s journey demands sober reflection and responsible voices. I believe that leadership must first heal and then build; it must restore faith in governance, protect citizens’ rights, and open opportunity for every community.

In the coming weeks, I will be engaging citizens, students, faith leaders, and professionals in an open dialogue about the Zambia we wish to shape beyond 2026. This conversation is not about partisanship; it is about principles, discipline in public office, equity in economic growth, and unity under the law.

Let us begin that conversation with clarity of purpose, civility in tone, and hope in our collective capacity to build a nation that truly serves its people.

  1. If the story is true, finaly, he has thrown the hat in the ring and declared his Presidential candidacy. The field is crowded in PF. We shall watch the space.

  2. It’s some Field. I have started losing count of the people vying for the Presidency..
Sean Tembo has gone quiet of late..His Tonse Alliance is Dead.
And Christopher Kangombe is quiet too. Hon
Binwell Mpundu is still making some noises, not so coherent though.
    There’s Given Katuta too.
KBF , and his Zambia must Prosper, is trying some luck at some Dinner Dance, but is unceremoniously Chased .

Brian Mundubile tries some dance moves at a Catholic Church Mass in Chipata..The Bishop is not Impressed!
Oh , I forgot, there’s also a man called Mudolo… discovered by Mumbi Phiri I hear, and Davies Mwila. I don’t know the man…And Mum at the village has never heard of him.

Then Counsel Makebi Zulu also enters the fray.

Do these characters have that Charisma to move
people, rally them to a People’s Cause? I have doubts.
The only people I see with appeal are John Sangwa, Dolika Banda, Given Lubinda, Raphael Nakachinda, and YES, Chishimba Kambwili, Ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba…and Tasila Lungu , as an under card , not really on the Ticket but a critical part of the Coalition.
These people can shake the ground.

Honorable Brian Mundubile could have done well to work with Hon Given Lubinda, as a Running mate..On his own, he is an unknown entity only known within the corridors of Parliament. And to be honest, I actually don’t know him too.

On Hon Chishimba Kambwili, if he reappeared on the Political Scene, and talked to the people, we will see an immediate impact….Queues at Voter Registration Centers will start…Imbwili ni Mbwili …He is not a spent force.

  3. Ya ba
One baboon replacing his father lungu who was a baboon also.
If Zulu is standing then I shall also put my baboon forward and my baboon will win

  4. He has not come out the way the heading leads, but if he did, it is his democratic right, what will then be deduced is that his antics so far may have been driven by his ambition hence the propensity to try and congregate the nation each time he wants to explain negotiation drawbacks which in effect should be discussed with the negotiating team and not the nation at large. This should be what is blurring his vision to resolve the impasse in the interest of both parties because he may be using it in his own interest and hence a wrong spokes person
