On EMV Breakfast Show; Charles Kakula Calls, Says He is back in Europe

Activist Charles Kakula says he was refused entry at the Julius Nyerere International Airport because he discovered that his passport was canceled.

Spealing on EMV Breakfast Show, Kakula said he had traveling St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) which is under Jordan University College (JUCo) in Morogoro, Tanzania, where there was a ceremony of ordination of catholic priests.

He expressed surprised that his passport has been canceled without a notice to or any or public announcement.

He also disclosed that Zambia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Tanzania, Anthony Bwalya visited him and brought him food.

Kakula says he rejected the food as priests in solidarity who were with him had met his needs.

He also accused Bwalya of trying to seek his arrest and deportation to Zambia.

Authorities have disclosed that they are pursuing cyber and hate speech allegations against Kakula.

Kakula says he was not arrested or detained but was merely denied entry into Tanzania.
