CHIPOKOTA MWANAWASA LEAVES STATE HOUSE FOR PRIVATE SECTOR

Ms. Chipokota Mwanawasa has left her role as Presidential Policy Advisor to take up a senior position in the private sector, where she looks forward to contributing to the **Grow Zambia Agenda.

President Hakainde Hichilema has thanked her for her service and wished her success in her new responsibilities.

Chipokota Mwanawasa Writes 

I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the President of Zambia for the trust, confidence, and life-changing opportunity to serve the people and the Republic of Zambia as Policy Advisor to the President, and in other senior government roles including Deputy Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit.

I am deeply grateful to President Hakainde Hichilema, and the Government and the people of Zambia for the honour of contributing to the success and growth of the country.

I transition to the private sector to contribute further to the economic growth and prosperity of an even more prosperous, inclusive and resilient Zambia by joining a multinational operating in global commodities trading that includes mining and metals, energy and logistics.

This transition is deliberate and positive. It is not a retreat from national commitment. It is a continuation of service through a different platform supporting Zambia’s development goals directly, right in the engine of the Growth Zambia agenda – the private sector.

I hope to share more about my new role in due course on what I will be doing going forward to drive practical outcomes for Zambia through stronger collaboration and value creation.
