DA TAKES A STRONG EARLY LEAD IN GAUTENG AS ACTIONSA EMERGES THIRD, WHILE ANC FACES A TOUGH CHALLENGE IN THE PROVINCE — 2026 ELECTION RESULTS UPDATE!

The Democratic Alliance (DA) is leading the early vote count in Gauteng, according to provisional figures showing 57% of voting districts counted at 06:28 on Friday, 6 November 2026.

The latest figures show the DA ahead of the ANC, with ActionSA currently occupying third position.

GAUTENG PARTY STANDINGS:

1. DA – 34.86%
2. ANC – 21.16%
3. ActionSA – 17.04%
4. EFF – 6.54%
5. VF Plus – 5.22%
6. MK Party – 4.72%

Other parties are also competing for support, but the main battle at this stage is between the DA, ANC and ActionSA.

The figures suggest a significant challenge for the ANC in Gauteng, while ActionSA is putting pressure on the traditional major parties with a strong showing in the province.

However, the counting process is not complete. The remaining voting districts could still influence the final percentages and the balance of power across Gauteng’s municipalities.

Could the DA turn this early lead into a major victory in Gauteng, or will the remaining votes change the political picture?
