DON’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED IF YOU VOTE FOR COMPANY SELLERS- KAMBWILI

PF’s Chishimba Kambwili has warned that Zambians will suffer unimaginable consequences should they make a mistake of voting for those who sold Zambian companies.

Speaking on Mkushi Radio last evening, Dr. Kambwili said high youth unemployment was worsened by the privatization of over 225 state-owned companies in the 1990s.

“It would be a disaster to elect those who became rich by selling Zambian companies and they come back to say vote for me?” He remarked.

Dr. Kambwili praised President Edgar Lungu for saving Zambian mines from the jaws of privatisation.

“Dear Zambians, President Lungu acted in the best interest of you by taking back Mopani and Konkola Copper Mines into the hands of Zambians because those are your companies,” he said.

Dr. Kambwili said Zambia lost assets through privatisation of which all the dollars were being externalised resulting in the weakening of the Kwacha.

“Palwandi I give thanks over the bold action by President Lungu which would now see an economic rebound because resources from Mopani and KCM would remain in the country and the Kwacha will strengthen,” he said.

And Dr. Kambwili said it was unacceptable that UPND gets more votes in PF strongholds but get zeros in UPND strongholds.

Dr. Kambwili said Tongas were not tribal but UPND has been championing it.

“Mwebantu ba kwa Lesa, President Lungu has delivered development across the country despite getting zeros in Southern Province and I can cite Mazabuka- Kafue Road as an example,” he said.
