DUTCH PRIME MINISTER: UKRAINE CANNOT BE PRESSURED INTO ENDANGERING EUROPE
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten has warned that if President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gives in too far under pressure from Washington, the consequences will extend well beyond Ukraine.
Russia is already attempting to destabilize European countries, divide their governments and weaken the continent’s unity. Any agreement that rewards Moscow or leaves Ukraine vulnerable would therefore create a wider security threat for Europe.
Asked about Zelenskyy’s increasingly direct criticism of the United States, Jetten said leaders must make clear when something has crossed the line while continuing to keep diplomatic channels open.
His message was measured but firm: diplomacy does not require silence, and dialogue does not mean accepting every demand. Zelenskyy must continue speaking with Washington—but Europe cannot expect him to quietly accept decisions that could endanger his country and the security of the continent.
