EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU URGES THE CHURCH, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS, INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO TAKE LEAF FROM CARITAS – ZAMBIA BY SPEAKING AGAINST THE EVILS UNDER THE UPND

Fellow Citizens,

I wish to commend the Caritas Integral Human Development Commission Directors from all the archdiocese of Zambia for taking yet another bold step in addressing various important issues affecting our country today, under the theme “Let Justice Flow” drawn from Amos 5:24. Caritas IHD Commission has continuously demonstrated its commitment to this noble task, without fear or favour by bravely engaging with injustices and promoting human rights and dignity for all Zambians. I salute you!

In like manner, allow me to thank our traditional leaders such as Chief Munkanta, Mushota, Chama and Chief Mabumba who have taken a similar position few days ago to speak against injustices and unfair practices. Both religious and traditional leaders are truly God’s chosen leaders in our community with the mandate to speak for the voiceless, defend the marginalized and stand up for the victimized people.

Today, I call on other church mother bodies, the civil society, traditional leaders and the international community at large to take a leaf from the good leadership shown by the Caritas IHD Commission as well as some of our chiefs and condemn the ugly faces of injustices, selective justice, tribalism, regionalism, discrimination and state oppression of our people. Remember, if Zambians fail to speak against injustices today, no one will speak for Zambia tomorrow!

The vision of the leaders who were, are, and will come should be that of a greater and better Zambia, wherein when the clock strikes midnight on 24th of October 2024, the Zambian citizens should then look back, clapping for all of us that indeed we had great leaders who did not fight for them but did it for generations to come.

One thing is clear, if we unite and democratically fight together, we can make a greater and meaningful impact to ensure justice truly flows like a river throughout our nation regardless of one’s status, geographical location or political affiliation. This must be our collective dream, prayer and calling as citizens!

Thank you, and may God bless Zambia.

  1. The snake himself – extending his craftiness to some selected churches and traditional leaders.

    NOW!

Looking at the behaviour and character of a snake from the time, in the garden of Eden to date, we will hear what the Bible tells us and try to compare what has been happening in our Country and then henceforth going forward.

Snakes (or serpents) get plenty of attention in the Bible, which mentions them over 80 times. Snakes show up in Pharaoh’s court (Exodus 7:12), in the wilderness (Numbers 21:7), on the island of Malta (Acts 28:3), and, of course, in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1). They are almost always pictured as loathsome creatures, associated with poison and craftiness. As amoral creatures, snakes are not “evil” in themselves—but they are a handy metaphor for evil in many passages.

It started in the Garden. “The serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made” (Genesis 3:1). In some way, the serpent was used by Satan to lie to Eve and lead her into disobedience. Adam soon followed. As God was meting out punishments, He cursed the snake: “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life” (Genesis 3:14). Every time we see a snake slithering, limbless, on the ground, we have a reminder of the Fall of man and the effects of sin.

Ever since Satan spoke his lies through the serpent to Eve, the snake has been associated with sin. The prophets liken the wicked to those who “hatch viper’s eggs” (Isaiah 59:5), to “a serpent [who] has swallowed us . . . and then has spewed us out” (Jeremiah 51:34), and to those who “will lick dust like a snake” (Micah 7:17). The poetic books speak of evil men making “their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips” (Psalm 140:3), of liars having “venom . . . like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be” (Psalm 58:4–5), and of alcohol eventually biting “like a snake and poison[ing] like a viper” (Proverbs 23:32). Jesus and John the Baptist both condemned the hypocrisy of the Pharisees by calling them a “brood of vipers” and “snakes” (Matthew 3:7; 12:34; 23:33).

The snake, as a symbol of Satan, has wound its way around the human heart and filled us with its poison. Try as we might, we cannot rid ourselves of its influence. As the wicked King Macbeth discovered, serpents are hard to kill: “We have scotch’d the snake, not kill’d it.” (Macbeth, III:ii). In fact, by the time we get to the book of Revelation, the serpent in the Garden has become a raging dragon bent on world domination. Following a battle in heaven, “the great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him” (Revelation 12:9).

We need help in our battle against the “ancient serpent.” Fortunately, from the very beginning, God has promised us a Savior: speaking to the serpent in the Garden, God says, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel” (Genesis 3:15). This is the protoevangelium, or “first gospel.” God promised that the Seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head—a prophecy that the virgin-born Son of God would win a decisive victory over the power of the devil.

Jesus said that He had come to save us all from the serpent’s bite: “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him” (John 3:14–15; cf. Numbers 21:6–9).

The Lord Jesus is our serpent-crusher. He is our dragon-slayer. And one day, when He establishes His kingdom on this earth, all of creation will be restored to its original, harmless state—snakes included. “The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:8–9).

ECL gave himself the name which was not known to many but brought it out to show to the nation his behaviour, characteristics and his plans.

He said he is a snake and at the same time acts like a dove. Now I remember what madam Laura Mitti said in THAT PODCAST with Emmanuel propagandist Mwamba. Where she said ECL and HH! night and day.

Insonka every time it entices people, ukwibila abantu, nokubensabensa, always like being in the dark corners. This is him the dununa reverse master minder.

Abena HH nimu light always, munyimbo shakwa LESA, preaching peace and unity, encouraging citizens to be hard working and earn a leaving which is from their sweat, encouraging citizens to have busineses and enter into joint ventures, encouraging parents and children to take their children to school and children to take education seriously because it is the best equaliser.

ECL always using vulgar language and even openly insulting especially when given chance to talk to people, pride and pompous, promoting violence in his comp wanting the nation to destroy property like the case has been in Kenya, preaching hatred in the Church like the case was in DUNAMIS/Z which was turned into a political rally and reaching lines of inciting citizens to rise against the duly elected democratically leadership of Zambia, working with the same minded individuals in certain groupings to hate the president and it’s government including certain regions by naming it Zambezia region and promoting languages of instability. Encouraging the UWUBOMBA mwibala Alya mwibala but not eat the seed ( meaning to eat everything you will find and just live the seed; what a bad saying coming from a bad leader) threatening Constitution Court Judges during his planned with DAN PULE ( the then great man of GOD who even with other Ministers of God brought TBN into Zambia but how he has fallen, we can’t tell, falling just like the Devil – Lucifer who was at one time a shining creature ) eligibility case, Lungu kept his barber who killed Lawrence Banda at State House instead of letting the courts of law to decide on his fate, hence even making madam Mumbi Phiri to be in the prison remind for some time when he knew all this, ( snakes are really very crafty ) witnessed the barbaric threatening period of gassing in the Country, blood shed was all over in the Country the period between 2015 – 2021 to be specific August 2021, encouraged his PF cadres to get what belongs to the nation without shame but letting his cadres to collect revenues from all council bus stations and markets and pocketed all that money { millions, if not billions of kwacha – think about that, these chaps even used to burn the legal tender while Lungu was watching without taking any action – surely} to use for themselves, their families and PF party while council workers went home from work without pay ( salaries ) for several months, retires were mostly destitutes moving from one office to another without help,. The defaulters.

Fellow Zambians’ let us hid to the faith that we should have and in ourselves than being used by disgruntled finished people, it doesn’t end well, but ” that neither hunger nor anything should seperate us from the love of God”. Let love lead and work for what we want to be than being craft and entice people to support someone’s evil deeds. But love for one another is paramount, because even the snake himself as an a created being, will be restored at one time and it will be harmless

This aught not to be the case. But it will come to pass time is of essence and the best in history.

Let Zambia lead and be the winner
